A 6-year Opera: the truth of influenza prevention in Taiwan

A documentary records that Taiwan government continues hiding the truth of its animal influenza crises deliberately, which has raised a wide discussion among the blogosphere and other networks’ attention.

This video took six years to track the historical press releases, clinical evidences, and sum up its final exposure. It all begins from the illegal vaccine what the farmer used on their new-born chicken for preventing mass casualty from birdflu. These cursorily made vaccines infected the chickens instead of protected them and caused a national panic at that time, but Taiwan government denied this fact and declare that the birdflu are caused by migratory birds. No investigations were held to find out the source of illegal vaccine, only lies to cover the crises.

From the records of official press releases and its clinical reports, this documentary doubts that government hide the truth by twisting the standard and falsifying the data of test result, making no records reported on OIE(World Organisation for Animal Health) website.

Taiwan paid a huge price for ignoring the existence of illegal vaccines and get cheated by its government: the director assumes that the H5N1 and H5N2 viruses are localized and been found similarities among pig by gathering samples from farms and comparing the test results with standard announced from OIE, it would be really a risk if this mutation infects human beings and get spread among people someday.

Influenza prevention is now a worldwide issue since the flu has become easier to mutant and influence not only animals but human beings, hence some of the attentions suggest to add an English subtitle for this documentary.
